We have recently completed a family tree for Mr Taylor who lives in Ayrshire. This project was fantastic to work on as during our research we uncovered a bit of a mystery which none of the family members were aware of.

Furthermore Mr Taylor took the time to write a testimonial about this work. I really appreciate it when our clients take the time to pass on such positive comments.

Customer Testimonial

“Alison provided me with a family tree that was detailed and gave me great satisfaction. The research uncovered a great family mystery, which was just what I was hoping for and her report gave ideas for future investigation. Alison’s service was excellent, very friendly and she went to great lengths to be exact. Highly recommended.”

This is a reminder that family mysteries are an exciting part of genealogical research. Here is an old photograph of my Great Grandfather, Jake Kilpatrick who served with the Royal Engineers in Egypt during World War One. On his return from the war Jake told his family that he had worked with the English Intelligence Officer T.E. Lawrence, the famous Lawrence of Arabia, who did indeed serve in Egypt at the same time as Jake. So far this exciting story has not been able to be verified. Next stop in solving this mystery will be a search of the regimental war diaries at The National Archives at Kew.
