About Us
Alison began researching her family tree fifteen years ago.
Encountering family mysteries, adoptions and many brick walls, what began as a hobby became a passion and her desire to learn about new sources led her to undertake classes in genealogy at Strathclyde University which led to an MSc in genealogical, palaeographic and heraldic studies. With a particular interest in Ayrshire she has completed extensive research focusing on child workers at Catrine mill and pauper children in the parishes of Beith, Steventson and Kirkmichael during the nineteenth century.

A meticulous researcher who leaves no stone unturned, Alison is a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists and Association of Professional Genealogists, and as such adheres to their professional code of practice. She continues to develop her professional knowledge and competence by undertaking regular Continuing Professional Development, advancing her genealogical education and knowledge of current genealogical issues and the most up to date sources available.
Committed to providing a professional, value for money and personal service to all clients, Alison looks forward to working with you to discover your ancestral roots.
